Cynthia specialises in technology transactions, data, cybersecurity, and new and innovative uses of digital and smart tech. Cynthia’s practice includes advice on product development and user experience, outsourcing, licensing, digital transformation, e-commerce, cloud, apps and smart technology, blockchain and AI, particularly FinTech, Digital Health and social media. Cynthia is a partner in Reed Smith’s Life Sciences Health Industry Group and is aligned with the firm’s Emerging Technologies and On-Chain (Crypto & Digital Assets) teams.

Representative matters

Serving as privacy counsel to a global provider of advertising and marketing services with operations in all major world markets, including implementing data transfer agreement, notifications with data protection authorities, and advice in relation to operating its ethical hotline in Europe
Advising a hospitality company on the outsource of its central reservation and property management systems following a major acquisition in Europe, with particular emphasis on European data protection issues and IT security including compliance with and implementation of the PCI data security standards
Serving as privacy counsel to a major trade and commodities company providing advice on data retention and cloud-computing initiative, including strategic counseling and negotiation for other technology and trading businesses
