Sofia is an associate in the firm’s Transportation Industry Group, with a particular focus on ship finance and transactional matters.
Sofia acts for owners and investors on a broad range of ship finance transactions, including the negotiation of loan facilities, sale and leaseback arrangements, and shipbuilding contracts. She also regularly advises buyers and sellers on the sale and purchase of commercial vessels, supporting clients from initial structuring through to closing with pragmatic and commercial legal advice.
Sofia has developed a strong understanding of the shipping industry, having spent time on secondment to a hedge fund with a significant shipping portfolio. This experience gave her a valuable investor-side perspective that informs her approach to transactional work.
