“The internet and digital technologies are transforming our world. But existing barriers online mean citizens miss out on goods and services, internet companies and start-ups have their horizons limited, and businesses and governments cannot fully benefit from digital tools. It’s time to make the EU’s single market fit for the digital age – tearing down regulatory walls and moving from 28 national markets to a single one.”
European Commission

On Wednesday 16 November 2016, Reed Smith will be hosting its Annual Competition Forum. Zsuzsa Cserhalmi of the European Commission’s Task Force on the Digital Single Market will report on, and answer questions regarding the outcome of the Commission’s far reaching investigation into the internet and digital technologies.

This will be an opportunity to gain key insight into the future regulation of on-line selling of goods and services, geoblocking, audio visual rights and access to digital content.
