George’s experience includes acting for borrowers, sponsors, and lenders on domestic and cross-border debt finance transactions, focusing on project finance, general corporate lending, and restructurings. He has considerable experience in M&A transactions, including takeover bids of listed companies, and has been involved in the formation of alternative investment funds. George also advises clients on financial regulatory issues relating to the provision of banking, capital markets, insurance, and investment services.

Representative matters

Advising a major Greek commercial bank on the financing (including RRF funding) of the development of a 156 MWp portfolio of solar photovoltaic assets in central Greece by a French asset manager.
Assisted PPC Renewables on the €294.40 million financing for the construction of a single-site 550 MWp solar photovoltaic project under development in Ptolemaida region, northwest Greece, from Eurobank and Piraeus Bank, two major Greek commercial banks, as well as with NextGenerationEU funds via the Recovery and Resilience Facility plan 'Greece 2.0'.
Acted for PPC Renewables on several issues relating to the acquisition of a 164 MW onshore wind projects portfolio from Intrakat, a major Greek construction group, as well as on the setting up of a joint venture with Intrakat for the joint development, construction and commercial operation of a 1.6 GW renewable energy & energy storage projects portfolio.
