Hugh is a partner in Reed Smith’s Insurance Recovery group and is also a member of the firm’s Retail & Consumer Goods group. Since 1986, his practice has included representing policyholders in evaluating, settling and litigating insurance claims filed in state or federal court, trial of coverage and extra-contractual claims, as well as appellate work. On two occasions, he has obtained eight-figure recoveries or awards in bad faith cases as well as multiple seven-figure recoveries.
