Donald has extensive experience in advising and acting for PRC state-owned enterprises, local and multinational companies and banks on a wide range of commercial disputes. He has acted for clients from a vast array of industry sectors, including financial services, garment, fashion, transportation, energy, commodities, logistics, insurance, entertainment, pharmaceuticals, hospitality, real estate, electronics and technology.
Donald specialises in Hong Kong court litigation and international arbitration proceedings. He has extensive experience in handling complex and high-value matters involving multiple jurisdictions including cross-border insolvency, as well as matters requiring interim relief such as asset preservation measures, disclosure orders, anti-suit injunction and ship arrest. He also regularly acts in enforcement proceedings of arbitral awards and judgments in Hong Kong.
Donald is a Fellow of both the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb) and the Hong Kong Institute of Arbitrators (FHKIArb), Secretary of the Hong Kong Maritime Law Association (HKMLA) and a Member of the Hong Kong Maritime Arbitration Group (HKMAG). Since 2017, he has been appointed as a Lecturer in the Master of Laws (Arbitration & Dispute Resolution) Programme at the Department of Law of The University of Hong Kong.
