The ICC Court of Arbitration is the world’s leading body for the resolution of international disputes by arbitration. Its universal scope is evidenced by the fact that each year, an increasing number of parties, arbitrators and lawyers from countries of every economic, political and social system are present in ICC arbitrations.

During this conference, users, funders and members of the ICC will be invited to participate in a useful, lively and valuable debate and will address, among other things, the following questions:

  • What are the Court’s functions? How does the Court add value to the ICC arbitral process?
  • What is the role of the ICC Secretariat? How does the Secretariat interface with the users and the Court? What do the most recent statistics reveal about ICC arbitration?
  • What options exist for funding ICC arbitrations? What role can a third-party funder play? What issues can the presence of a third-party funder give rise to?
  • How do users of ICC arbitration see the process? Is their experience good or bad? How could the experience be improved?

The conference will be led in English.
