We will discuss: a) how each type of credit operates at the federal level—with a focus on the electric power industry; 2) whether there are similar credits at the state level, and how they operate; 3) the impact of the credits on other deductions, such as depreciation and research expenses; and 4) potential arguments for restoring deductions at the state level.
