NIST is developing this voluntary framework, in collaboration with private and public sector stakeholders, to help organizations: better identify, assess, manage, and communicate privacy risks; foster the development of innovative approaches to protecting individuals’ privacy; and increase trust in products and services.

Naomi Lefkovitz (Senior Privacy Policy Advisor at NIST) and other NIST leadership on the effort will share a summary of the comments they received in response to their recent Request for Information, and the outline of the framework they developed as a result. NIST is looking for your feedback on the direction of the outline, which will help to inform the next step in the process: the development of a discussion draft.
