March 30, 2016 – Reed Smith LLP today announced the addition of Nicolas (“Nic”) Barzoukas and Joshua (“Josh”) Davis as partners in the firm’s Intellectual Property, Information & Innovation (“IPII”) Practice Group. Both will join the Houston office, and both practiced most recently at Baker Botts. The addition of Barzoukas and Davis follows closely on the addition of IP partner Lisa Chiarini, who joined the firm’s New York office last month [in February].

Barzoukas’ primary focus is representing pharmaceutical companies throughout the United States in significant patent litigation matters. Davis also has significant experience representing pharmaceutical companies in patent infringement cases, and has litigated cases involving biotechnology, medical devices, semiconductor, wireless communications, and various software technologies as well.
Barzoukas earned his J.D. from The University of Texas Law School, where he was Order of the Coif, and an MBA and Bachelor of Science degree, cum laude, in biochemistry from Baylor University. Davis received his J.D., with distinction, from Stanford Law School, and obtained a joint program Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree in biomedical & electrical engineering, magna cum laude, from Duke University.
