DUBAI – Global law firm Reed Smith has today announced the hire of Adela Mues as partner in its Global Corporate Group, just weeks after welcoming a five-partner corporate team to the firm’s new office in Brussels.

Mues, who is based in Dubai, has extensive experience of advising clients on M&A, private equity, venture capital, funds, capital markets, commercial contracts, employment and corporate restructuring.

Joining from K&L Gates, Mues has been based in the Middle East for over ten years and previously worked extensively across the UK. She has advised a broad range of local and international clients across numerous jurisdictions and a variety of industries.

The news highlights Reed Smith’s continued expansion across its global network – on 16 January 2020, the firm opened a new European office with five Global Corporate Group partners consisting of Christian Filippitsch from Norton Rose Fulbright, Isabelle Rahman from Sheppard Mullin, Geert Goeteyn from Shearman & Sterling, Yves Melin from Steptoe & Johnson and Wim Vandenberghe from Deloitte Legal. They were also joined by one counsel and two associates.
