NEW YORK – Global law firm Reed Smith represented Intel 471, a leading provider of cyber threat intelligence for enterprises and governments, in its definitive agreement with Thoma Bravo, a leading software investment firm. As part of the agreement, Thoma Bravo will make a strategic growth investment in Intel 471.

Reed Smith represented Intel 471 in the transaction. The New York team was led by Jennifer Cheng, U.S. vice chair of the firm’s Global Corporate Group, and included associates Douglas Sayranian, Russell Schneider and Emerson Bianchi.

Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed. Co-founders Mark Arena and Jason Passwaters will continue to lead the company and will retain a significant ownership position.

Intel 471 provides comprehensive intelligence and monitoring on threat actors to businesses and governments. Resources from its investment with Thoma Bravo are expected to help Intel 471 continue to develop its product suite, broaden its market strategy and continue to pursue innovation in its security solutions for customers.
