PITTSBURGH – Anya Lernatovych, a senior associate in Reed Smith’s Global Corporate Group, has been recognized by Pittsburgh Magazine and PUMP among 40 individuals under the age of 40 who have had a positive impact on the region through their vision, creativity and passion. Lernatovych is one of just two attorneys selected for the 2022 class.

“Anya is a top-notch attorney and has provided dynamic leadership and commitment as a mentor to others,” said Jason Hazlewood, office managing partner of the firm’s Pittsburgh office. “She has had a significant impact on the Pittsburgh community through her involvement in various volunteer organizations, including the Adoption Legal Services project and efforts to assist Ukrainian families and the military. We’re thrilled that she is being recognized by Pittsburgh Magazine and PUMP.”

PUMP (Pittsburgh Urban Magnet Project) is a membership organization that gives young people a platform for community discourse on important issues, and plays an active role in their lives.

Lernatovych has had a significant impact on the Pittsburgh area. A native of Lviv, Ukraine, she recently spearheaded local efforts to assist Ukrainian families and the military during the war. She personally collected more than $18,000 in donations for Ukrainian families, children and military units, and started a collection drive for the Ukrainian military that resulted in donations of body armor from area law enforcement agencies, including bulletproof plates, helmets, SWAT jackets, Level III body armor jackets, bomb suits, gas masks and K9 protection dog vests.

She frequently joins her mother in creating and producing a weekly Ukrainian radio program that airs on a local Pittsburgh AM station.
