Courtney is a counsel in the Global Regulatory Enforcement Group and a member of the firm’s Antitrust & Competition Team. Courtney represents clients in a variety of civil antitrust actions, including class actions and multi-district litigations. She routinely provides clients with guidance on pre- and post-merger competition issues, including preparing Hart-Scott-Rodino filings and advising clients through the “second request” process. Courtney also counsels clients in responding to government investigations and subpoenas. In addition to her antitrust practice, Courtney maintains a robust commercial litigation practice in which she represents clients in complex litigation matters in federal and state courts and arbitral forums, with a particular focus on clients that operate in the managed care industry. Her extensive litigation experience involves primary drafting of dispositive motions, negotiating settlement agreements, managing complex electronic discovery projects, taking and defending depositions, arguing motions, and examining witnesses at trial.
