Bareeq joined Reed Smith after working at Amazon as a program manager in career development and a human resources business partner. She was responsible for managing and developing the intern pipeline and early career talent while empowering team success through training, development and DEI initiatives. Bareeq has an extensive background in designing DEI and transformative leadership development programming, as well as delivering training, development and coaching to colleagues and leaders of all levels. She has held senior adjunct roles at Rowan University and Rowan College at Burlington County teaching public speaking and interpersonal communication. She has also developed trainings for corporations, non-profits, and universities on topics such as growth versus fixed mindset, implicit bias, bias disruptors, inclusive leadership, language and leadership, diversity in teams, and how to be an engaging speaker in a digital environment. She was recruited to be a TEDx speaker coach due to her revered experience as a communications professional.
Bareeq attributes her success in roles of progressive responsibility to three key factors, 1) her skill in cultivating winning relationships with a wide range of populations of diverse geographic locations, cultures and backgrounds, 2) her ability to drive synergy across organizational levels by getting everyone working towards the same goals, and 3) her dedication to identifying and maximizing opportunities to enhance personnel performance while cultivating a positive and inclusive culture and improve firmwide policies and practices.
