Dimos Papanikolaou is a counsel in the London office of Reed Smith in the Financial Industry Group.
He is an experienced U.S. securities lawyer with more than 10 years of experience and has practised in London, Hong Kong and Athens.
Dimos focuses his practice on capital markets and finance transactions, including high yield debt and equity offerings, as well as TLBs and liabitlity management tranasactions and restructurings, Dimos has been advising banks on high yield bond issuances (SSNs, SUNs, PIK) across more than 10 jurisdictions in the United States, Europe and Asia, as well as corporate Issuers (including first time Issuers).
Dimos has assisted numerous Greek based companies with global operations in accessing the international capital markets, representing them in bond offerings (144A/Reg S), shares issuances and private loans.
He was part of the team that advised the bondholders on the first successful “J. Crew” style liability management transaction in Europe, leading to debt relief for the debt Issuer.
Additionally, Dimos was involved in the recapitalization efforts and share capital increases of some of the Greek systemic banks after the Greek sovereign debt restructuring.
Prior to joining Reed Smith, Dimos practiced in the London and Hong Kong offices of a major U.S. and Magic Circle law firm.
