Chris’s clients value his practical, commercial-driven approach to their legal challenges. At the outset of each engagement, Chris first seeks to understand the client’s ultimate objective, recognizing that a “win” may not always require the entry of a final judgment or arbitration award. However, for those cases that need to be presented to a jury or tribunal for resolution, Chris’s clients know they can rely on his 20+ years of trial and arbitration experience to present their best, most persuasive case.

In addition to his litigation practice, Chris is active throughout the Houston community. He has served on the board of directors for Children at Risk for more than nine years, including a two-year term as board chair. Chris is a member of the Houston Leadership Council for Lambda Legal – a pro-bono legal services organization dedicated to securing full recognition of the civil rights of the LGBTQ community. Chris was the first ally asked to serve on that committee. Chris is also a senior fellow of the American Leadership Foundation, Class LI and currently serves on the Executive Committee for the University of Texas Law Alumni Association.

Chris’s free time is devoted to his wife, Susannah, their 16-year-old son, two Golden Retrievers, and their rescue cat, Jeremiah.
