Ping Ting is a dual qualified (Singapore and England & Wales) corporate transactional lawyer whose practice includes both local and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and restructurings. She advises on a diverse range of transactions involving commodities, including the mining and processing of metals, as well as transactions in the transportation (shipping and aviation) sectors. She also supports investment consortiums and operators of large-scale industrial parks (both well-established and under development) in Southeast Asia on transactional, infrastructure as well as on-going regulatory compliance matters.

Advised an SGX-listed shipbuilding company on the acquisition of a minority shareholding in one of the world’s largest owner and operator of container ships for circa USD 800 million.

Advised Global Fortune-500 Tsingshan Group on a circa USD 400m investment and joint venture in an Argentinian lithium project as a joint venture with Euronext Paris-listed mining and metallurgy company Eramet Group, and the subsequent buy-back by Eramet Group.

Advised a South Korea-based private fund in various investments in logistics and infrastructure assets in Southeast Asia.

Advising a Singapore family office on a potential strategic investment in HKEX-listed Morris Homes, principally engaged in the manufacturing of sofas and sofa covers in the PRC with an integrated design, manufacturing, sales, and marketing operation

Acted for PAR Chinatown Point Pte. Ltd., a wholly-owned vehicle of a fund managed by Pan Asia Realty Advisors (Singapore) Pte, Ltd. in the acquisition (and financing of the acquisition) of the retail mall and 4 strata office units at Chinatown Point.

Acting for a Chinese conglomerate in various joint ventures for the development of High-Pressure Acid Leach (HPAL) production facilities in Indonesia.

Acted for a Chinese conglomerate on its collaboration with an Indonesian nickel producer involving a joint venture in a nickel smelting plant and a prepayment facility for the supply of nickel ore.

Advised a leading steel corporation on its collaboration with an Indian steel producer in the development of nickel-matte production facilities in Indonesia.

Advised a leading steel corporation on its collaboration with a Korean steel producer in the development of nickel-matte and stainless steel production facilities in Indonesia.

Advised an Indonesian company on a joint venture involving an investment in a nickel mine in Indonesia.

Advised SGX-listed Acromec Limited on the formalisation of a joint venture between its subsidiaries and Tako Ventures LLP for co-working laboratories intended for entrepreneurs, early-stage bio and pharma companies.

Aviation

Advising a Singapore-based aircraft engine leasing company on their inaugural US$300m asset backed securitization program (the first aircraft engine ABS for an Asian lessor), involving 30 aircraft engines on lease to 13 lessees in 11 jurisdictions spread across the United States, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.

Advising an aircraft engine lessor on several sale and leaseback transactions involving lessees in multiple jurisdictions.
