Jacob's practice focuses on litigation and intellectual property matters. His technical background and bachelor of science in industrial engineering allows him to deliver effective advice and assistance in all phases of litigation, in a range of technologies, including electronic manufacturing, healthcare electronics (software and hardware) manufacturing and recreational/consumer goods manufacturing.
He has experience representing clients in matters related to complex intellectual property litigation, including patent infringement litigation, on behalf of both the patent holder and alleged infringer, trade secret litigation, and proceedings in the International Trade Commission and the Patent Trial and Appeal Board.
Jacob's industrial engineering knowledge provides him with a strong foundation to convey sound advice in case management, researching and drafting dispositive motions, expert discovery, deposition prep and dispute resolution.
Prior to practicing law, Jacob served as a Commercialization Analyst at the University of Illinois Office of Technology Management.
