Ricardo’s practice focuses on FDA regulatory issues pertaining to foods, including conventional foods, bioengineered foods, dietary supplements, functional foods, medical foods, food additives and infant formula. He also has experience with a wide array of labeling compliance issues, including those arising from the use of health, nutrient content, structure/function, and disease claims.

In addition to his legal experience at FDA, he has a strong academic background in biology and has had practical experience with food production and marketing.
