Rankings for the 2018 edition of U.S. News – Best Lawyers "Best Law Firms" were based on a rigorous evaluation process by the publications that included the collection and analysis of client and lawyer evaluations, peer review from leading attorneys in their field, and review of additional information provided by law firms as part of the formal submission process. To be eligible in a particular practice area or metro region, a firm was required to have at least one lawyer currently recognized in Best Lawyers in that practice area and metro area.
