“Today’s employers face a tremendous amount of change in the regulatory and legal landscape, including both federal and state employment laws,” said Mark Temple, practice group leader of Reed Smith’s Labor & Employment Group. “I’ve known Jill professionally for some time and have admired her well-deserved reputation as a go-to resource for companies. With more than 20 years of experience she will be a tremendous asset for clients dealing with critical employment challenges.”
Vorobiev has significant experience representing individuals and employers in trade secret misappropriation and non-compete cases. She has advised companies on issues involving a wide array of federal regulations including the Employee Retirement Income Security Act, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the False Claims Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, and the National Labor Relations Act, as well as various state and local discrimination and employment laws. She also regularly counsels employers on restrictive covenant agreements, and labor contracts and retiree benefits issues.
“Today employers routinely face workplace issues across their international and national operations; I have seen this time and again with my clients so I know Reed Smith’s global platform is an important advantage for my practice,” said Vorobiev. “I also welcome the firm’s approach to flexible fee structures which in my opinion is a business imperative.”
Vorobiev received her J.D., cum laude, from the University of Notre Dame Law School and her bachelor’s degree from Amherst College.
