NEW YORK – Reed Smith today announced that Angelo Ciavarella has returned to the firm as a corporate tax partner in the Global Corporate Group in New York. Ciavarella has more than two decades of experience helping businesses, including private equity funds, construct efficient tax strategies for their significant transactions.

Most recently a partner in the New York tax practice at Katten Muchin Rosenman, Ciavarella had been a partner at Reed Smith from 2008 to 2016.

Ciavarella’s practice focuses on structuring domestic and cross-border corporate, private equity, capital market and real estate transactions, including mergers, acquisitions and divestures, tax-free reorganizations, partnership and other joint ventures, restructurings, leveraged buyouts, financing transactions and other commercial transactions.
