Lagay focuses her practice on commercial lending transactions, where she has significant experience leading cross-border deals in leveraged finance and fund finance transactions in a variety of industries. She recently led the closing of a multi-million-dollar transaction for a major European bank’s financing of a revolving subscription line facility for a private equity fund. On the acquisition finance side, Lagay co-led the closing of a deal on behalf of a Canadian-based commercial bank and long-time firm client in connection with a $100 million facility backing a sponsor’s acquisition of a southern regional recycling firm. That deal cemented an important new sponsor relationship for the client.
For STAARS (Sustaining and Training African Americans at Reed Smith), Lagay’s work focuses on efforts to recruit and retain diverse associates and professional personnel. She strategizes with the STAARS leadership team to plan outreach for prospective associates and innovative programming to address issues of interest to diverse attorneys and professional personnel and allies. She also supports the firmwide celebration of certain events honoring African American history, including Black History month and Juneteenth. Lagay is also active in Reed Smith’s women’s initiative network, WINRS, and she volunteers in the non-profit arena to advance issues in support of women’s empowerment.
The New Jersey Law Journal, a leading legal publication in the Garden State, honors Women Lawyers of the Year by recognizing women attorneys who have made a meaningful impact in their practice area and have been strong advocates for the cause of women in their profession.
