Courtney is an associate in Reed Smith’s Global Regulatory Enforcement Group, where she focuses on government and internal investigations, regulatory compliance and enforcement matters, and related litigation. Courtney has considerable experience advising clients across the entire life cycle of government and internal investigations, and has represented public companies, financial institutions, and individuals in connection with DOJ, SEC, FTC, and BIS investigations.

Courtney also maintains a practice that focuses on the legal regimes governing international trade. Courtney advises clients on U.S. customs laws, review of foreign acquisitions of U.S. entities before the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States, and anti-bribery and anti-corruption policies and procedures. She has also helped clients navigate voluntary self-disclosures and agency seizures and detentions and has considerable experience with electronic discovery, document production, and investigation interviews.
