Experience

Representative matters

Ongoing advice in relation to different real estate transactions (sale-and-leaseback, acquisition of existing rent properties, development projects) to one of the largest diversified net lease REITs that provides long-term sale-and-leaseback and build-to-suit financing for companies worldwide and manages a global investment portfolio worth more than US$19 billion, including legal advice on a variety of refinancings and ongoing asset management of existing properties.
Acted for the real estate investment division of a US investment fund with approximately USD 12.5 billion under management on the acquisition, restructuring and refinance of 10 portfolios of distressed loans involving over 60 SPVs incorporated in various jurisdictions including Germany, Luxembourg, Guernsey, the Netherlands and Switzerland and covering more than 100 commercial properties located throughout Germany.
Advised a European private debt fund and alternative lender acting as lenders on a unitranche-financing to support the acquisition of a German healthcare company by a private equity fund of the Rothschild group.
