In 2022, Ashley was one of five insurance recovery lawyers in the country to be named a “Break Out Award” winner by Business Insurance. She was selected in 2022 as a "Top 100 Lawyer" in Los Angeles by the Los Angeles Business Journal and a "Top Woman Lawyer" in California by the Daily Journal. Ashley was also recognized by The Legal 500 for “Insurance: Advice to Policyholders” in 2022. The Legal 500 quotes clients who say Ashley exhibits “an excellent understanding of the insurance sector” and comes up with “pragmatic solutions to complex issues and problems.”

Ashley assists energy and construction industry participants resolve high-stakes insurance coverage disputes. When a loss has occurred, she guides clients through the insurance claims process. When insurance companies contest coverage, Ashley secures insurance payouts through negotiation, litigation, and arbitration.

Ashley also helps clients proactively manage risk by performing insurance program audits; negotiating insurance policy language to eliminate coverage gaps; and counselling clients on contracts affecting insurance coverage and liability.

Ashley writes and presents frequently on topics concerning insurance coverage and risk management. She leads the Thomson Reuters Attorney Analysis Column on Insurance, which covers innovative issues in insurance recovery. Her articles have been published in Law360, American Bar Association journals, Los Angeles Lawyer, and Thomson Reuters’ Legal Handbook for Architects, Engineers and Contractors: Issues in Construction and Technology.

Ashley is the Co-Chair of her office's Women's Initiative Network and serves on the Advisory Board of the Institute for Energy Law. She is the current Co-Chair for the Construction Law Subsection of the Los Angeles County Bar Association. She also serves on the Legal Advisory Committee for the Associated General Contractors of California and the Steering Committee for the Construction Law Practice Area Committee of the California Lawyers Association.
