
Rebeca joined Reed Smith in 2022 and is a senior associate in the New York office of Reed Smith. She is a dual-qualified attorney in the Republic of Panama and New York, with almost a decade of experience in investor-state disputes and international commercial arbitrations. Rebeca has a strong background in renewable energy and oil & gas from her time at Shell Oil (Alaska), as well as experience in the infrastructure, construction, technology, real estate and telecommunications industries.
She regularly represents clients in international disputes under various arbitration rules, including those of the International Centre for the Settlement of Investments Disputes (ICSID), the International Chambers of Commerce (ICC), the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA), the International Centre for Dispute Resolution (ICDR), UNCITRAL, and ad hoc proceedings. She is also listed as an arbitrator.
