Sid is an associate in Reed Smith’s Intellectual Property group. He focuses his practice in all areas of Intellectual Property such as patent litigation, post-grant proceedings, due diligence analyses, and patent preparation and prosecution.
Sid’s experience as a former federal law clerk at the United States District Court of New Jersey and as a patent examiner at the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office, allows him to provide invaluable insight to clients that provide them with winning results. As a former law clerk to a federal judge, Sid provides key insights to clients that help them maneuver their cases before federal judges more efficiently and cost-effectively. Sid’s technical expertise extends to fields such as computer implemented and software related technologies, artificial intelligence, and medical devices. As a former patent examiner in Art Unit 3734, Sid has particular expertise in medical devices such as stent delivery systems, computer aided robotic surgical apparatuses, and numerous drug delivery systems, which allows him to assist clients in maneuvering their patent applications expeditiously.
Additionally, having clerked at one of the busiest courts in the country for pharmaceutical litigation, Sid is quite familiar with Hatch-Waxman litigation and the proceedings undertaken in such high-stakes litigation matters.
