Selina P. Coleman

Selina defends retail pharmacies and hospitals in qui tam/whistleblower litigation and putative class actions brought in federal courts nationwide. In over a dozen lawsuits, Selina has defended national retail pharmacy chains against challenges to how pharmacies report their usual and customary prices, including in the context of False Claims Act cases, national putative class actions, and arbitrations.

In high-risk areas involving the False Claims Act, the Anti-Kickback Statute, and the Stark Law, Selina supports her clients in responding to government investigations and conducting their own internal investigations, including of potential whistleblower claims. Selina also helps her clients navigate business disputes related to reimbursement, including through defending and pursuing claims in arbitrations.

Selina has been named to Thomson Reuters’ Stand-Out Lawyers list (2023-2025) and recognized as an AI Visionary by Relativity (2022), among other professional honors and awards. Selina regularly speaks on topics that affect her clients’ business, such as emerging risks in pharmacy enforcement and developments related to the False Claims Act and fraud-and-abuse laws. She has also served in leadership roles for the DC Bar Health Law Section’s Steering Committee.

She is also a member of the firm’s Retail & Consumer Goods group, as well as a contributor to the firm’s working groups on the end of Chevron deference and on reproductive health.

Before beginning private practice, Selina clerked in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.
