LONDON – Reed Smith today announced that 28 of its London-based lawyers have been selected to the 2022 list of The Best Lawyers in the United Kingdom. Two of the Reed Smith lawyers received exclusive “Lawyer of the Year” accolades.

The awards are another indication of the London office‘s strength in litigation and in the legal services it provides in matters relating to commodities, shipping, real estate, entertainment & media, and data privacy.

The 2022 edition of Best Lawyers spotlights the top 3.6% of practicing lawyers in the United Kingdom, including 244 “Lawyer of the Year” recipients, the publication states.

Two Reed Smith partners were highlighted on the related “Lawyers of the Year” list, in their respective practices. Peter Hardy, a litigator who focuses on insurance recoveries, received the award in the field of insurance law. Chris Borg, a futures practitioner who co-leads Reed Smith’s financial markets and regulatory team, received the award in the category of commodities.

“Lawyer of the Year” honors are awarded annually to only one lawyer per practice area in each region.
