Her practice focuses in the areas of anti-corruption, regulatory, compliance, and litigation matters for clients such as medical device, pharmaceutical, and biological manufacturers, distributors, and suppliers; hospitals and hospital systems; pharmacy chains; and other related companies in the life sciences and health care space. Sarah regularly represents her clients in complex litigation and government investigations involving the False Claims Act, Anti-Kickback Statute, and Stark Law.In addition, Sarah brings to the table a sophisticated understanding of how to access and analyze her clients’ business information systems, where risk – and also critical evidence – often lay hidden. Her pioneering use of internal forensic analytics tools has led to success in both internal investigations and bet-the-company False Claims Act litigation.

Sarah believes strongly in using her legal skills to help those in need and is an avid supporter of pro bono work. She serves on Reed Smith’s national Pro Bono Committee and is the co-chair of the Dallas Pro Bono Committee. She has a long history advocating for access to reproductive and maternal health care, veterans, asylum seekers, homeless individuals, and victims of domestic violence. Sarah is passionate about partnering with her clients on pro bono work and has submitted amicus briefs on behalf of over 50 organizations, partnered with clients to support a local legal clinic for individuals facing homelessness, and volunteered with clients at women’s shelters.

Sarah’s work has resulted in opportunities for advocacy at all levels, including the United States Supreme Court and Texas Supreme Court, and has earned her numerous national nominations including the American Lawyer Industry Awards 2024 in the "Young Lawyer of the Year – Beyond Practice” category and the Financial Times 2024 North American Innovative Lawyer Awards in the “Innovative Lawyers in Healthcare and Life Sciences” category.
