Her practice focuses in the areas of anti-corruption, regulatory, compliance, and litigation matters for clients such as medical device, pharmaceutical, and biological manufacturers, distributors, and suppliers; hospitals and hospital systems; pharmacy chains; and other related companies in the life sciences and health care space. Sarah regularly represents her clients in complex litigation and government investigations involving the False Claims Act, Anti-Kickback Statute, and Stark Law.In addition, Sarah brings to the table a sophisticated understanding of how to access and analyze her clients’ business information systems, where risk – and also critical evidence – often lay hidden. Her pioneering use of internal forensic analytics tools has led to success in both internal investigations and bet-the-company False Claims Act litigation.

Sarah believes strongly in using her legal skills to help those in need and is an avid supporter of pro bono work. She serves on Reed Smith’s national Pro Bono Committee and is the co-chair of the Dallas Pro Bono Committee. She has represented veterans, criminal defendants, and adults and children seeking asylum or protection under the Violence Against Women Act. Her pro bono work has resulted in opportunities for advocacy at all levels, including the Texas Supreme Court and United States Supreme Court.
